Rotary bending units

ACCU-BendTM offers you an efficient alternative to conventional bending with a bending punch for use in follow-on composite and edging tools.

Product Features

The Accu-BendTM is manufactured with the same precise methods and processes you put into your own designs. The bending lobes of the Accu-BendTM are specifi cally treated to withstand the wear associated with a repetitive bending motion. The saddle is a low-friction alloy chosen for the ability to hold up to a bearing load with little to no wear.

  • easy adjustment in case of unsteady material properties
  • holding-down clamp function integrated into roller bending units
  • no holding-down plate required
  • reduced number of bending steps
    • since the formation of large bending angles is possible in one operation
  • low-maintenance thanks to tribological pairing
    • of hardened steel (bending shaft) on bronze using solid lubricant inserts (bearing bushing or retainer)

  • spring back depends on Material, Bending radius, bending angle as well as forming speed
  • required overbend can only be determined by bending tests or based on experienced data – Please contact Anchor Lamina
  • Please note: “The higher the materials yield strength, the higher the spring back.” and “The higher the bending radius, the higher the spring back.”
  • The radius at the anvil must be smaller then the radius of the finished part

Formula to calculate radius at anvil:

  • r = (rc * Wc) / Ws
    • r(c) = radius anvil
    • W(c) = bending angle finished part
    • W(s) = Bending angle in process
